Fourth Wall has been creating innovative digital and interactive delegate experiences for Retail Council of Canada's (RCC) annual STORE conferences since 2003.
The most recent addition, the "STORE Digital Auction", has thrived for the past two years. Delegates visit the auction kiosk centre to browse through item listings using sorting and search tools, and register to bid. Users are sent real-time auction updates via email, informing them on the status of the items they have bid on. They are also given access to a URL where they can continue to bid on items online or through their mobile devices. There are real-time auction updates on the conference’s digital display network, pushing delegates to the auction centre. At STORE 2010, $13,693 was raised, nearly tripling what RCC had made in 2007 using the traditional pen and paper auction.
