What a great hack to bring AI in an unexpected way.
I’d be curious to see how many people would actually built something like that but it’s a great idea!
As a technical feat this is incredible! Being able to track and map these deforming surfaces in real time isn’t a small task. The kinect-like array used for the tracking are massive and would require a controlled environment to be in.
Driving dynamic data on digital signage is a common practice. This is a great example of compelling and relevant content.
Shopify did a great job with creating a virtual set where you can design a t-shirt and use the virtual design to print on a “real-world” t-shirt.
There isn’t a ton of data available on this project which executed by ESI Design. On the surface the details are simple. LED video walls with beautiful creative respond to motion of people walking through the lobby.
This looks like so much fun! It could be so cool if the robot motion is controlled by real world events (stock prices, social media trends etc…).
As public ad space becomes limited companies look for innovative ways to display ads. This is a very contrived way that has plenty of limitations such as weather, time of day etc… But, it’s neat!
This is either the worst idea ever or the best idea ever. Adding an extra level of immersion is always a good idea but to what extent? How many gadgets does it take to strapped to a face to call it.
